One-way car rental in Istanbul: how returning the car at a different point works

Short answer: You can collect the car at one of our 18 points in Istanbul and return it at another; for example, have it delivered to your home and drop it at the airport on your flight day. In that case a separate "one-way fee" line appears on each car card on the booking screen and is added to the total. One-way rentals between cities are not available: the car returns to Istanbul at the end of the rental.

What is a one-way rental?

A one-way rental means returning the car somewhere other than where you collected it. At Otofilorent this applies between our 18 points in Istanbul. If you bring the car back to the point where you collected it, there is no one-way fee.

Three common one-way plans

• Pick up at home, drop at the airport: we deliver the car to your address, and on your departure day you return it at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen and catch your flight.
• Collect at one airport, return at the other: if you arrive and leave from different airports, you can collect at one and return at the other. To see which is closer to you, read Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen.
• Collect on one side, return on the other: for example, collect at one of our Asian-side offices and return at Yenibosna Airport AVM on the European side.

How to choose it when booking

1. Choose your pick-up point on the booking form.
2. Tick "I'll drop the car off at a different location" and choose the drop-off point.
3. In the search results, each car card shows the one-way fee as a separate line, included in the total, so you see it before you pay.

Returning a delivered car

Within Istanbul, on rentals of 3 days or more there is no extra charge for delivering the car to your address and collecting it from there at the end; for shorter rentals, confirm the terms with head office when booking. To change the return address, simply call 0850 305 00 45.

Why there are no city-to-city returns

All of Otofilorent's pick-up and return points are in Istanbul, so one-way rentals between cities are not available. You can drive anywhere in Türkiye, but at the end of the rental the car must be returned at one of our Istanbul points or collected from your address. Our cars cannot be taken out of Türkiye. When you return the car

• Bring it back at the fuel level you received it.
• There is a grace period of up to 60 minutes at return; if you will be later, call ahead.
